As some of you might or might not know I am back in the Netherlands. Which is also the reason this blog hasnt been updating as you would expect. The reason I am back in the Netherlands is that I broke up with the girl I had been living together with for the past 3,5 years or so. What’s done is done and I am starting up my new life here in the Netherlands again. I am currently living at my folks’ place but I will be moving out in less then a month. Thereafter I will be living in Hoofddorp temporarily.

I am still working. I had a period of time that my work suffered under all that has happened but fortunately I am picking up the pieces right now and my company; FORTHEWHIN is going full blown at the moment. I will be working from home, something I always wanted. As you might remember I was blessed enough to have a job at SUPERSTUDIO in Sweden and I even did two national television commercials there. I am super proud of my work I pulled off there even though I left behind everything that was familiar to me. I hoped people would have seen that this was not an easy transition for me. It’s you against the world and you will all die alone.

Right when I got back from Sweden I was asked by some old friends to join the band ‘Good Things’. I was super stoked and grabbed the chance. I am really happy to be playing again and can’t wait to perform live for all of you. Also, I met a lot of new people who I learn from everyday. Not in a way that they are giving me lectures or anything like that, no, simply because of their actions and thought. I am learning to listen more carefully to what other have to say about love, life and friends. It helps a lot.

And yes ofcourse it was summer. Hung out pretty much every single day with my pals, got to as much parties as possible and started a few ourselves. I miss the late summer nights that lasted till sunrise but the summer is about over. And what a summer it was. This might sound strange but this summer took my life and gave a brand new life back to me. Now I am ready to live it.

The quote above is from (in my opinion) one of the best movies of our generation, Donnie Darko. If I would have a personal Movie Award Ceremony this one would win Best Film and Best Soundtrack with different songs from 80´s band Tears For Fears. Now, this is important:
- If you didnt see it, go see it.
- If you didnt get it, see it again. (Nobody gets it the first time. No exceptions)

PS: below you can see the trailer. This is for the Theatrical version. I HIGHLY suggest you see the directors cut instead. It´s much better and things are explained quite a bit more in this version. Plan in a day for it. Cause I think its running time is about 3 hours and your mind wont be able to let it go for another 7.

ALMOST A YEAR AGO

Unbelievable. This was the very first video I made with my DSLR (Canon 5D MKII) camera. It has almost been a year ago. Time flies. This video also represents my life as I knew it in Leiden, The Netherlands which I miss with all of my heart to be honest; Having party’s as much as possible, playing FIFA with Phil, Amin, Tommie and Chi, watching endless episodes of Entourage with Vinny, deep conversations, our bunny Alice, getting cigarettes in the middle of the night, the beautiful scenery of the old city centre, the cracky old wooden floors, the high ceiling, the big doors, the canals, the Church bells and last but not least my short hair of course. Where did the time go?

I miss these days. I miss this place.

Yes! Finally, the moment that all of you (or some of you atleast) have waited for! Im proud to present FORTHEWHINS 4th music video. One that I love in particular because of the awesome collaboration our crew, the band and the people from DE TAVENU in Waalwijk had. Again, Im sorry for the delay. Some extra post-production was necessary which took a long time. I hope you will enjoy this one. There will be at least 3 more music video’s coming from our side within this year. Maybe more.
